Motor a diesel?<\/p>\n<p>O mercado nacional hoje oferece, nesse segmento, op\u00e7\u00f5es para todos os gostos e necessidades. Algumas delas, embora com diferentes caracter\u00edsticas, acabam pr\u00f3ximas em pre\u00e7o \u2014 e podem constar da lista de alternativas do mesmo comprador. \u00c9 o que ocorre com o Jeep Compass Limited Diesel 4&#215;4 e com o Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line 350 TSI.<\/p>\n<p>Para alguns, pode n\u00e3o fazer sentido comparar um SUV a diesel de cinco lugares com outro de sete e movido a gasolina. Afinal, eles se distinguem em alguns dos quatro \u201cPs&#8221; que norteiam nossos confrontos. O Compass surgiu nos Estados Unidos em 2006, com um desenho discut\u00edvel, e veio ao Brasil em 2012. O Tiguan existe na Europa desde 2007 e chegou aqui dois anos depois. Os modelos atuais nasceram no mesmo ano, 2016, sendo o Jeep produzido em Goiana, PE, e o Volkswagen trazido de Puebla, M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>O desenho \u00e9 um destaque do Compass, com linhas agrad\u00e1veis e modernas, mas simples o bastante para n\u00e3o cansarem rapidamente. Embora com linhas corretas, o Tiguan poderia mostrar mais inspira\u00e7\u00e3o, sobretudo na frente um tanto quadrada. Rodas de 19 polegadas buscam um ar mais esportivo nos dois, enquanto a altura de rodagem e o perfil dos para-choques evidencia a aptid\u00e3o fora de estrada do Jeep em vers\u00e3o 4&#215;4. Curioso no Volkswagen a traseira simular sa\u00eddas de escapamento, deixando escondidas as duas verdadeiras.<\/p>\n<p>Apenas o Tiguan tem divulgado seu <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-c\/#cx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coeficiente aerodin\u00e2mico (Cx)<\/a> de 0,343, muito bom para o tipo de carro. A escolha\u00a0afeta par\u00e2metros de resposta do acelerador e mudan\u00e7as de marcha pela transmiss\u00e3o (modos Eco, Normal e Sport), assist\u00eancia de dire\u00e7\u00e3o (Normal e Sport), a forma como o controlador segue o tr\u00e1fego \u00e0 frente (Eco, Normal e Sport), ar-condicionado (Eco e Normal) e o facho direcional dos far\u00f3is (Eco, Normal e Sport).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 H\u00e1 ainda programas espec\u00edficos para o tipo de terreno. Snow (adequado para pisos molhados e de terra batida) deixa acelerador e transmiss\u00e3o mais suaves e busca maior tra\u00e7\u00e3o e mais estabilidade em linha reta. Offroad tamb\u00e9m torna o acelerador mais suave, mas faz a caixa operar com rota\u00e7\u00f5es mais altas. Os freios antitravamento (ABS) entram em modo Offroad, para evitar a libera\u00e7\u00e3o prematura das rodas em pisos de baixa ader\u00eancia, e os <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-c\/#esp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">controles de estabilidade e tra\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a> ganham interven\u00e7\u00e3o mais tarde, ou seja, permitem mais deslizamento dos pneus. O <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-a\/#desc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">assistente de descida<\/a> entra em a\u00e7\u00e3o em declives de mais de 10%, limitando a velocidade a 30 km\/h, e o diferencial <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-d\/#dife\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">autobloqueante<\/a> dianteiro atua mais. O R-Line deixou o Compass bem para tr\u00e1s em todas as provas de desempenho, como esperado pelos 50 cv a mais com pesos parecidos. Apesar da caixa de dupla embreagem, que n\u00e3o disp\u00f5e de conversor de torque, ele arranca forte a 3.500 rpm com o assistente de largada, o que vence com folga qualquer retardo de a\u00e7\u00e3o do turbo. Para usar o dispositivo, basta colocar o controle de estabilidade em modo esportivo e aplicar o <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-e\/#esto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">estol<\/a> da transmiss\u00e3o, ou seja, acelerar a fundo enquanto se freia com o p\u00e9 esquerdo.<\/p>\n<p>Ambos os carros s\u00e3o ajudados pelo fato de fornecerem torque m\u00e1ximo logo na primeira marcha, o que leva ao grande pico de acelera\u00e7\u00e3o acima de 0,7 g mostrado no gr\u00e1fico acima \u2014 elaborado pelo consultor t\u00e9cnico Felipe Hoffmann, da <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fhbperformance.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FHB Performance<\/a>, a partir dos par\u00e2metros coletados com o <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/informe-se\/noticias\/best-cars-adota-equipamento-de-ponta-para-medicoes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Race Capture Pro<\/a>. Interessante \u00e9 o\u00a0do Compass chegar cerca de 0,5 segundo <em>mais r\u00e1pido<\/em>, o que tem\u00a0duas raz\u00f5es. Uma \u00e9 a presen\u00e7a de conversor de torque na transmiss\u00e3o. O Compass opera da mesma forma, como veremos a seguir. Ou seja, os motores produzem com rapidez o m\u00e1ximo de torque e, uma vez que contam com tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral, isso tudo se transforma em acelera\u00e7\u00e3o. De certa forma, esses fabricantes foram contra a tend\u00eancia de mercado atual, que em geral limita o torque em primeira marcha para que a transmiss\u00e3o n\u00e3o precise ser t\u00e3o resistente (e assim possa ser mais leve, eficiente e barata) para suportar uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o pouco usada.<\/p>\n<p>Exemplo dessa estrat\u00e9gia foi com o <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/informe-se\/avaliacao\/teste-comparativo-suv-chevrolet-equinox-jeep-compass-kia-sportage-peugeot-300-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chevrolet Equinox<\/a>, tamb\u00e9m com motor turbo a gasolina de 2,0 litros, mas com caixa autom\u00e1tica de nove marchas, que n\u00e3o atinge a press\u00e3o m\u00e1xima de turbo em primeira marcha e limita seu \u201cpulo\u201d inicial. Ao dimensionar a transmiss\u00e3o para que suporte tal torque, a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de desempenho do Tiguan aumenta muito. Interessante \u00e9 que seu pico de press\u00e3o ocorre em primeira e segunda marchas, mas cai em terceira e quarta, depois de 6 segundos, passando o m\u00e1ximo a ser de 185 kPa. Contudo, durante a retomada de 80 a 120 km\/h iniciada em terceira, o pico de press\u00e3o de 216 kPa aparece de novo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class='code-block code-block-7' style='margin: 28px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;'>\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<!-- AL-quadrado -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1914799802606213\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"5683066082\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Isso indica que a Volkswagen deva trabalhar com aumento tempor\u00e1rio de press\u00e3o (<em>overboost<\/em>), que em geral opera por 10 a 15 segundos \u2014 leva certo tempo para que as partes internas do motor se aque\u00e7am e tenham risco de quebra. Com isso o motor produz mais torque e pot\u00eancia que os informados. \u00c9 dif\u00edcil saber quanto, sem usar um dinam\u00f4metro, mas como refer\u00eancia o Equinox tem 42 cv a mais com press\u00e3o m\u00e1xima de 140 kPa. Isso indica que o motor da GM \u201crespira\u201d melhor que o da Volkswagen, por exigir menor press\u00e3o para maior quantidade de ar.<\/p>\n<p>Outro ponto a favor das acelera\u00e7\u00f5es do Tiguan \u00e9 que as trocas autom\u00e1ticas \u2014 muito r\u00e1pidas \u2014 ocorrem a 6.500 rpm, ou 300 acima do ponto de maior pot\u00eancia. Com isso, ap\u00f3s as mudan\u00e7as o motor permanece dentro da ampla faixa de pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima, que vai de 4.300 a 6.200 rpm. Sem estol, saindo da marcha-lenta,\u00a0os tempos pioram (0 a 100 em 7,5 s), mas as sa\u00eddas ainda assim convencem.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-20' class='gallery galleryid-103283 gallery-columns-1 gallery-size-large'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Aceleracao-Compass-1.png'><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" data-src=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Aceleracao-Compass-1-696x464.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large lazyload\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 696px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 696\/464;\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Como esperado, o Compass (gr\u00e1fico acima) fica longe de acompanhar o concorrente por alguns motivos.\u00a0Todo motor Diesel \u201cacaba\u201d cedo, ou seja, n\u00e3o consegue alcan\u00e7ar alta rota\u00e7\u00e3o e por isso produz menos pot\u00eancia que um similar do ciclo Otto. Para compensar o pequeno leque de giros, a Jeep usou uma transmiss\u00e3o de nove marchas que mant\u00e9m o motor sempre pr\u00f3ximo de sua rota\u00e7\u00e3o de pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima nas acelera\u00e7\u00f5es a pleno, como mostrado no gr\u00e1fico. Tamb\u00e9m se pode ver que a press\u00e3o de turbo atinge o pico de 240 kPa (cerca de 1,4 bar) em menos de 1 segundo e se mant\u00e9m ao redor de 230 kPa (cerca de 1,3 bar) por boa parte da prova.<\/p>\n<p>O Compass permite alta rota\u00e7\u00e3o de estol (2.800 rpm). Fato curioso \u00e9 ele destracionar por instantes nas sa\u00eddas fortes, sinal de que a divis\u00e3o de torque entre os eixos n\u00e3o atua t\u00e3o rapidamente. Ao se bloquear a reparti\u00e7\u00e3o 50:50 pelo comando 4WD Lock a ader\u00eancia aumenta, mas o estol fica limitado a 1.600 rpm, o que faz o 0-100 levar mais 0,6 s. Sem estol e com tra\u00e7\u00e3o normal o tempo ficou em 12,1 s, pior em 0,5 s que com estol. Suas mudan\u00e7as de marcha ocorrem a 3.700 rpm, s\u00f3 50 abaixo do pico de pot\u00eancia. Embora os n\u00fameros da tabela considerem como in\u00edcio a velocidade de 60 ou 80 km\/h, nos gr\u00e1ficos iniciamos pelo momento exato em que o pedal do acelerador foi pressionado, para poder identificar o tempo de resposta do motor e \u2014 sobretudo \u2014 da transmiss\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Em ambos o tempo para redu\u00e7\u00e3o de marchas foi pr\u00f3ximo de 1 segundo, o que indica bom resultado no Volkswagen (caixas de dupla embreagem costumam ser lentas para isso, pois a marcha requerida n\u00e3o est\u00e1 pr\u00e9-selecionada).\u00a0S\u00f3 depois desse ponto \u00e9 que ambos liberam a press\u00e3o m\u00e1xima de turbo. A Jeep at\u00e9 poderia diminuir o tempo de trocas, pois as transmiss\u00f5es autom\u00e1ticas epic\u00edclicas de hoje s\u00e3o muito r\u00e1pidas, mas isso causaria trancos: a caixa precisa esperar o motor ganhar rota\u00e7\u00e3o, ap\u00f3s desacoplar as embreagens que formam tal marcha, para depois acoplar as embreagens que formam a marcha requerida.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o cabe compara\u00e7\u00e3o direta entre consumos, pois s\u00e3o combust\u00edveis diferentes e de pre\u00e7os diversos. Como esperado pela efici\u00eancia dos motores Diesel, as marcas do Compass foram todas melhores\u00a0\u2014 e o litro ainda custa menos que o de gasolina. Mas o Tiguan obteve bom resultado para sua categoria, superando o Equinox (em rodovia, tamb\u00e9m o\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/cr-v-touring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honda CR-V<\/a>) e ficando pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0 vers\u00e3o flex\u00edvel do Compass.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class='et-box et-shadow'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div
