E a General Motors respondia em outubro com o Equinox importado do M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Tal como aconteceu com o Jeep, o lan\u00e7amento da Chevrolet balan\u00e7ou os alicerces da categoria \u2014 a come\u00e7ar pelo fato de que n\u00e3o pertence a ela. Isso mesmo: pelos crit\u00e9rios da <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/20a-eleicao-dos-melhores-carros-os-vencedores\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Elei\u00e7\u00e3o dos Melhores Carros<\/em><\/a>, o Equinox \u00e9 um SUV m\u00e9dio como o <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/edge\" target=\"_blank\">Ford Edge<\/a> e o <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/santa-fe\" target=\"_blank\">Hyundai Santa Fe<\/a>, enquanto Compass e 3008 s\u00e3o compactos. Na Peugeot a alternativa \u00e9 a Griffe Pack, superior (R$ 155 mil).<\/p>\n<p>Os quatro &#8220;Ps&#8221; que definem nossos comparativos exigiram maior toler\u00e2ncia dessa vez, mas n\u00e3o importa: o que todos queremos saber \u00e9 qual oferece mais pelo dinheiro que custam. Os demais oferecem comandos f\u00edsicos redundantes aos da tela. Na pista de testes, com medi\u00e7\u00f5es pelo\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/informe-se\/noticias\/best-cars-adota-equipamento-de-ponta-para-medicoes\/\" target=\"_blank\">Race Capture Pro<\/a>, o modelo da GM foi t\u00e3o r\u00e1pido\u00a0quanto um Volkswagen Jetta 2,0 TSI: acelerou de 0 a 100 km\/h em 7,4 segundos ante 9,4 s do 3008 e 12,1 s tanto do Compass quanto do Sportage, em uma ordem constante em todas as provas. Impressionam tamb\u00e9m suas retomadas, como 80-120 km\/h em 4,8 segundos.<\/p>\n<p>Ao acelerar a pleno, todas as caixas fazem trocas autom\u00e1ticas entre 6.000 e 6.200 rpm, rota\u00e7\u00e3o que poderia ser maior no Jeep e no Kia. Como ambos atingem o pico de pot\u00eancia a 6.200 giros, seria proveitoso que alcan\u00e7assem 300 ou 500 rpm adicionais antes da mudan\u00e7a. Interessante \u00e9 que, com tra\u00e7\u00e3o apenas dianteira, o carro n\u00e3o destraciona ao sair: parece faz\u00ea-lo adiante, entre 4.000 e 5.000 rpm.<\/p>\n<p>A explica\u00e7\u00e3o para o fato veio ao\u00a0analisar a press\u00e3o no coletor de admiss\u00e3o, informada pelo Race Capture Pro. No Sportage o valor mostrava 92 kPa, a press\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica onde fazemos os testes. Ao n\u00edvel do mar o valor oficial \u00e9 de 101,32 kPa. Portanto, qualquer valor acima disso significa que o turbo est\u00e1 empurrando ar para os cilindros. No carro da GM, durante o teste, o valor n\u00e3o superou 140 kPa, algo como 40% de sobrepress\u00e3o \u2014 e tal valor s\u00f3 foi aparecer na quinta marcha a 140 km\/h. Durante a sa\u00edda com estol, o valor inicial foi de apenas 60 kPa: o motor estava longe de entregar tudo o que poderia, tanto que seus melhores tempos foram sem estol (usar esse procedimento melhora a arrancada no 3008 e pouco altera nos outros).<\/p>\n<p>Qual o motivo? Pode ser para proteger a transmiss\u00e3o: se fosse dimensionada para suportar todo o torque do motor juntamente com a multiplica\u00e7\u00e3o pelo conversor de torque, ela teria que ser muito mais resistente e com maiores massas e in\u00e9rcia, o que prejudicaria o consumo no dia a dia. Pode ser tamb\u00e9m uma forma de evitar que as rodas destracionem na arrancada. Al\u00e9m disso, a press\u00e3o vai aumentando \u00e0 medida que se passa \u00e0s marchas mais altas. De qualquer modo, seu desempenho surpreende para o tipo de ve\u00edculo, a massa e o tamanho. Seu desempenho superior aos de Compass e Sportage, apesar da pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima semelhante, deve-se a obter maior torque e, em consequ\u00eancia, maior pot\u00eancia por toda a faixa de rota\u00e7\u00f5es, como \u00e9 comum nos motores turbos modernos.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, o turbo preserva o desempenho na altitude da pista (600 metros), onde motores aspirados perdem pot\u00eancia pela menor press\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica. Soma-se a isso o menor peso (cerca de 250 kg mais leve que Kia e Jeep) e a receita para o desempenho superior est\u00e1 pronta, a ponto de acompanhar o Equinox nos primeiros 3 s. Sportage e Compass tiveram desempenho muito pr\u00f3ximo, devido \u00e0s configura\u00e7\u00f5es semelhantes de motores e transmiss\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Leve e com motor eficiente, o\u00a03008 brilhou em consumo com marcas entre 10% e 34% melhores que as do Compass, segundo colocado; o Equinox ficou pouco atr\u00e1s deste. As maiores dimens\u00f5es, a tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral e a suspens\u00e3o traseira independente, em vez do eixo de tor\u00e7\u00e3o do Cruze, fazem parte da flexibilidade de projeto das plataformas atuais.<\/p>\n<p>O mesmo aplica-se \u00e0 do Compass, basicamente a mesma do <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/renegade\" target=\"_blank\">Renegade<\/a> e da <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/toro\" target=\"_blank\">Fiat Toro<\/a> (esta com suspens\u00e3o traseira pr\u00f3pria, multibra\u00e7o), que deriva em certo grau da lan\u00e7ada em 2005 na Europa no <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/grande-punto\" target=\"_blank\">Fiat Grande Punto<\/a> e no <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/corsa\" target=\"_blank\">Opel Corsa<\/a>. A do Sportage \u00e9 compartilhada com os <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/ix35\" target=\"_blank\">Hyundais IX35<\/a> e novo <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/tucson\" target=\"_blank\">Tucson<\/a>\u00a0e\u00a0derivada do sed\u00e3 <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/elantra\" target=\"_blank\">Elantra<\/a>. No novo 3008 est\u00e1 a moderna EMP2 modular, comum \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/c4-picasso\" target=\"_blank\">Citro\u00ebn C4 Picasso<\/a> e ao <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/308\" target=\"_blank\">308<\/a> europeu.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chevrolet e Peugeot usam os motores mais avan\u00e7ados, com turbocompressor e inje\u00e7\u00e3o direta. Todos t\u00eam quatro v\u00e1lvulas por cilindro com <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/glossario-v\/#vari\" target=\"_blank\">varia\u00e7\u00e3o de tempo de abertura<\/a>, bloco de alum\u00ednio e acionamento dos comandos por corrente. O Tigershark do Compass \u00e9 evolu\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0da linha desenvolvida nos anos 2000 pela Global Engine Alliance, associa\u00e7\u00e3o da Chrysler com Hyundai e Mitsubishi. Por sua vez, o do Peugeot \u00e9 o conhecido Prince desenvolvido em parceria entre PSA e grupo BMW, que n\u00e3o mais o usa nos modelos <a href=\"https:\/\/autolivraria.com.br\/bc\/tag\/mini\" target=\"_blank\">Mini<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A transmiss\u00e3o autom\u00e1tica de nove marchas, que no grupo s\u00f3 o Equinox usa (o Compass a tem na vers\u00e3o a diesel), permite maior varia\u00e7\u00e3o de rela\u00e7\u00f5es: 7,6 (divis\u00e3o da primeira pela \u00faltima) contra 6,7 do Compass, 6,0 do 3008 e 5,7 do Sportage. Ao mesmo tempo, a queda de rota\u00e7\u00e3o a cada mudan\u00e7a \u00e9 menor, o que favorece a efici\u00eancia, pois a caixa pode fazer as trocas em regime mais baixo. Chama aten\u00e7\u00e3o a baix\u00edssima rota\u00e7\u00e3o em velocidade de viagem do Chevrolet, como 1.750 rpm a 120 km\/h em nona.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 O Equinox \u00e9 \u00fanico aqui tamb\u00e9m pela tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral, que segue o conceito usual hoje de atua\u00e7\u00e3o sob demanda. Com a tecla 4WD do console ativada, o torque\u00a0pode ser transmitido apenas \u00e0s rodas dianteiras ou repartido entre os eixos, conforme as condi\u00e7\u00f5es\u00a0de dire\u00e7\u00e3o e de ader\u00eancia do piso. Desativar a tecla inibe essa distribui\u00e7\u00e3o, mantendo o carro com tra\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00f3 dianteira, para economia de combust\u00edvel.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chevrolet e Kia adotam a suspens\u00e3o traseira mais sofisticada, independente multibra\u00e7o. A do Compass \u00e9 independente, mas segue o mais simples conceito McPherson; no 3008 permanece o eixo de tor\u00e7\u00e3o, t\u00edpico de carros de menor pre\u00e7o.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 O peso divulgado pela Peugeot brasileira (1.567 kg) nos pareceu alto demais para um carro de sua concep\u00e7\u00e3o e que passou por importante dieta em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao antecessor. A checagem na Europa revelou o valor correto: 1.375 kg para uma vers\u00e3o como a nossa, salvo pelas rodas de 18 pol em vez de 19.
